About Nina

Nina Hopkins Deerfield has studied Homeopathy and other healing arts for over 25 years while living in England. She received her Doctorate from the British Institute of Homeopathy. She is also a practitioner of Chinese Internal Arts. She has studied martial arts for 25 years and has been teaching for 15 years. She has competed and won medals in national competitions and now serves as a chief judge in tournaments across the country. This combination of studies is a balanced approach - a blending of the best of these traditions. Nina's practice includes Homeopathy, Nutrition, T'ai Chi, Chi Gong, and Polarity used in concert to treat the entire person.

A More Intelligent Approach
Nina begins with a thorough history of the individual - past medical problems as well as family history. She then discusses the patient's current complaints in order of significance.
Next, Contact Reflex Analysis - a muscle testing technique which tests all the organ systems of the body along with emotional, allergy and stress points is performed to determine areas of strength and weakness.
Once the weak points are identified, Homeopathic remedies and nutritional supplements are tested to determine which will strengthen the body. These become the new regimen to return the patient to optimum health.
Whenever possible, treat people before they get sick, helping them to maintain their good health by discovering imbalances before they create disease.

Personal Philosophy
"As a holistic practitioner, I use a combination of approaches to best serve the individual - body, mind, and spirit - attaining and maintaining optimum health and well-being by harnessing the body's own inner resources.
"With Homeopathy, we have a safe, effective and gentle system for returning the body to balance and strengthening the immune system so the body can heal itself.
"With Nutritional Therapy, we follow a practical approach for nourishing our bodies as they were intended to be nourished. With Applied Kinesiology, we identify areas of imbalance and discover how to balance these areas. With T'ai Chi, Chi Gong, and Polarity, we learn ways of reducing stress, calming the mind, opening energetic blockages, and enhancing our physical health and energy.
"Typical complaints I have successfully treated in my office include PMS, menopausal symptoms, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, colds and flu, asthma, allergies, emotional disorders, anxiety, nervousness, depression, phobias, sexual dysfunction, lethargy, ADD, weight concerns, hypoglycemia, skin problems, hyperactivity, injuries, pre- and post-surgical concerns, digestive disorders, hair loss, headaches, and inappropriate and debilitating anger, fear, and sadness.
"I love my work and love sharing it with others. I do not just "treat" my patients, but rather work with them to restore abundant good health and peace of mind. Most people are excited by the prospect of taking charge of their lives and enhancing quality of life by improving their health. With these positive-minded individuals, the relationship between holistic practitioner and patient is like a subtle dance - a dance which I cherish." -Nina Deerfield
